๐ Team Spotlight ๐
Meet Molly, one of the passionate organisers behind the Big Freeze Geelong
Mollys connection to the cause is deeply personal.
โMy Mum, Denise, was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 2020 and passed away in May 2022. Mum was one of the bravest people I have ever met and fought the disease with grace and dignity.โ
Molly describes some of her many memorable Big Freeze Geelong moments:
๐ Watching Mat Horan honour his mate John Lee after his 2026 slide.
๐ Phoebe opening her arms to the crowd in 2025, capturing the joy and spirit of the day.
๐ The famous Merv Hughes stretch in 2024 and hearing Bec Sheehan speak about research and hope.
๐ Seeing everyone wear the MND bracelets I made in 2023, just weeks after losing Mum.
When asked about the incredible $137,000 raised this year, her response says it all:
โProud would be an understatement. We have a small but mighty team. I have never met a more determined group of people who are so driven to raise awareness and funds for FightMND, but who also have some laughs along the way (mostly at Graemeโs expense).
And whatโs in store for Big Freeze Geelong #6?
โMORE FUN! Bring it on ๐๐ผโ
Thank you for everything you do Molly, you are a superstar! ๐คฉ ๐
