PARKRUN CANCELLED : I’m so sorry the track is flooded in several areas that we can’t even run the alternate course. For safety reasons we have to cancel. The closest other parkrun is Eastern Gardens.

This weekend parkrun turns 22

How best to celebrate I hear you ask.

Well, there’s always the option of wearing a tutu, but if there’s any Richie Benauds out there, we’d know what you mean 😀

The day is now done, but that just means that we're ready for tomorrow's good fun! The volunteers stepped up, hip hooray they are pumped! The wind and weather this past week has been a bit of a mess, so tomorrow we'll have to be mindful and take extra care to keep left. (see image below)

There are some debris big and small, and even a branch or two that did fall - so we'll have to be very kind to one and to all! Make sure we communicate to those in front and behind - if passing make sure that you are gentle and kind.

One pram or one dog - leash held in your hand - we know the drill now, and we are glad that you know where to stand.

If you are new or visiting, please come say hello - we'll be ready to chat at 10 minutes to 8 - we are thrilled that you're here and look forward to showing you around.

Please please be mindful that this is a shared path - and if you've never volunteered, we'd love to have that chat!

It’s parkrun eve, the roster is filled and it looks like it’s going to be a nice morning tomorrow

Whether you’re going for a pb, or taking it easy because you’re taking part in the Geelong Running Festival on Sunday, we’ll be there ready to welcome you

First timers/Visitors Briefing will be just after 7.50, followed by the main briefing and, hopefully, an 8am start

Please don’t forget your barcode and be courteous to non-parkrunners out on the course tomorrow

This week 261 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 20 were first timers and 50 recorded new Personal Bests. We also had visitors from Parkville, Maribyrnong and Torquay. We hope you enjoyed our event.
