For the past five years, Alison has been a valued volunteer at Our Village Geelong Mums), and we’re incredibly proud to support her in a role that means so much to her 💚

Each week, Alison heads along to lend a hand—carefully checking jigsaw puzzles to make sure every piece is there before they’re boxed up for children to enjoy. It’s her favourite job and one she takes great pride in. Alongside this, she enjoys working with fellow volunteers and being part of a community built on kindness, care and connection 😍

Through her volunteering, Alison continues to grow in confidence, build meaningful relationships and develop important everyday skills—all while making a genuine difference in the lives of others.

Alison is a beautiful reminder of the power of community and the impact of giving back—and we feel so lucky to be part of her journey 🧡

What if you could help turn an empty space into something truly special? 🌱

Our Term 3 Green Thumbs Program is a hands-on, 11-week project where participants will design, plant and bring a garden to life—together.

From planning and selecting plants to getting your hands dirty, it’s all about creativity, teamwork and watching something grow from the ground up 🙌

Along the way, you’ll build confidence, develop practical skills and be part of a supportive environment where every contribution counts.

Over the past few months, Leisure Networks has partnered with Football Victoria to deliver All Abilities “Come and Try” programs across 9 clubs in the Barwon region — opening the door for more people to experience the joy of football.

At one of these sessions , a parent shared how meaningful the experience at the
Barwon Heads Soccer Club has been for her son:

"It’s so heartwarming to see Ned enjoying his first sport… we’ve tried so many settings before, but this is the first with huge success."

For a child who can find group environments overwhelming, having a space where he can feel safe, build confidence, and simply enjoy the game is incredibly powerful. ⚽

A big thank you to all the clubs, coaches and volunteers making moments like this possible every day — just like Ned. Because everyone deserves the chance to play, connect and belong
