Big news for headspace Geelong today. It's going to be one of the first headspace centres nationally to be expanded into a headspace Plus. This means more services and more staff.

Deputy PM and Corio MP Richard Marles visited the centre with Assistant Minister for Mental Health and Su***de Prevention Emma McBride to make the announcement alongside headspace staff, youth advocates and supporters including their CEO Jason Trethowan and Western Victoria Primary Health Network's CEO Craig Wilding.

🖤💛❤️
National Reconciliation Week 2026
May 27 – June 3 | All In

The week marks two significant moments, the 1967 Referendum and the Mabo decision. These milestones are an important part of the journey toward recognising the rights and cultures of First Nations peoples.

This year’s theme, “All In,” highlights the role we can all play in reconciliation. It’s about continuing to learn, listening to First Nations voices, and being open to meaningful conversations in our everyday lives.

Reconciliation looks different for everyone, but it starts with a willingness to engage, reflect, and grow.

The theme for this year’s National Sorry Day is From Sorry to Action. The call is clear, we must move from words to action, and this needs to happen now, not in another decade.

Acknowledging past harm is important, but acting to address it is critical. Sorry signals compassion, action delivers justice.

We encourage you to mark National Sorry Day on 26 May, and to stand with us to ensure this day is part of an ongoing commitment to truth-telling and healing.
