This project was supported by well considered input from both Gayndah and Mundubbera producers. Congratulations on contributing to Industry strategic direction!

Growcom was joined yesterday by Bob Gee, Director-General of the Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, Belinda Frentz, Growcom Chair and Angus Ferrier, Chair Future Fields Advisory Committee to unveil the 10-year roadmap for the Queensland fresh produce sector, Future Fields.

Future Fields sets out a shared vision of where we want to be, and an agreed set of actions to turn that vision into reality ensuring Queensland remains the preeminent state for horticultural production, supply chain innovation and food processing, and that we continue to attract investment from interstate and overseas.

This collaborative project was led by Growcom on behalf of the Queensland fresh produce sector and supply chain and was proudly supported and funded by the Queensland Government.

FAQ #10
How long does the season last for?

Gayndah’s citrus season runs from May to October.

Generally there are peak harvest periods from March to mid-June and again from July to October, however this depends on seasonal conditions.
