The Gawler Community House Recognizes that we are living and creating on traditional Kaurna land. Gawler Community House, established in 1985 is a small independent community-based organization. At Gawler Community House we're focused on providing activities and services to support the needs of all people living in Gawler and surrounding areas. Gawler Community House works with local community mem
bers to achieve social justice, personal empowerment and social change in our community. We provide courses ranging from Language to Craft and technology. Our facilities include an Op-shop, Garden, conference rooms and a safe place to sit for a coffee and chat! At Gawler Community house we work with community support programs, such as Women's information services. We also provide counseling services for financial, family and gambling assistance through relationships Australia. Donations are welcome between 9.00 am and 4.00pm , Monday to Friday. While we are unable to accept large furniture items & baby goods, we welcome any other items in good condition. All profits from Op-Shop sales go directly back to the running and operation of the community house. Every last Friday of the month we provide a two - three course community lunch at $5.00 per person, bookings essential. On Christmas Day we provide a FREE Christmas dinner with entertainment, please call 8522 4601 to book your place at the table! We acknowledge our appreciation and respect to the Kaurna people.
