Last Branch Meeting
Following our monthly meeting held on Tuesday 18 August our President, Karen Hine, introduced our guest speaker to the group. Carol Mullan from the Embroider’s Guild of SA gave a very interesting presentation of her work including some wonderful samples, of which our members really appreciate.d. SACWA GAWLER BRANCH HISTORY MONTH DISPLAY
‘Our Dream, Our Hall, 86 Years’
A wonderful display, held over 3 days, showcased the history of our Branch. Numerous documents, photographs, craft items and memorabilia was present for those keen members of the public to view and appreciate all that has taken place over those 86 years. A delicious Devonshire Tea was available which was really appreciated on three very cold days.
We were very pleased to welcome visitors Rebecca Maund, President, SACWA, James Agnes, Member for Light and Cody Davies, Gawler Council.
Some photos from the day are featured below.
Thank you to all involved in organising this impressive event.
