Thank you for inviting us to last Friday’s Multicultural Dinner and for making us feel so welcomed🥰We loved trying dishes from different countries, meeting people from different backgrounds, and sharing conversations and stories along the way🌏❤️

We’re especially proud of our GISA leaders — our former President Rio, current President Yume, and Treasurer Adrian — for being part of the community’s storytelling and sharing their voices and experiences💙🙌🏻

Ready to switch things up? 👀
GISA is hosting an Everybody 1-2-Switch! E-sport tournament on Nintendo Switch!

👥Teams of up to 4 will compete across a range of mini-games, earning points and battling through elimination rounds to crown the winning team 🏆

No athletic ability needed — just teamwork, communication, quick reactions & problem-solving, all using your phone! 📱

Whether you’re teaming up with friends or coming along to meet new people, make connections, cheering for others and have some fun, everyone’s welcome! 🌏🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

Last Sunday (9/8), GISA was delighted to be part of the Locker Valley Festival of Cultural Diversity! 🌏🎉

It was wonderful to celebrate the rich diversity of our community, with vibrant performances representing different cultures and a wonderful range of stalls from community groups and organisations💃🏻🎤🥳

One of the highlights was seeing people from so many different countries represented on our GISA map🌍📍 It was a beautiful reminder of the diversity within our community and the connections that bring us together💙

We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect with the wider community, share cultures and celebrate together😆

A huge thank you to all our amazing GISA volunteers who showed up, worked hard and helped make the event possible🫶🏻We truly appreciate your time, energy and dedication, and we hope you enjoyed the event as much as we did! 🙌🏻

Join us this Student Health Month Expo for a relaxing afternoon of writing, creativity, and connection🫂

We’ll provide everything you need:
✉️ Letter paper, envelopes, pens, stickers, and stationery
📮 We’ll mail your letter for you—within Australia or anywhere around the world!
🍪 Free snacks to keep you fuelled
🪽 Unwind with some relaxing origami while you write

🌏✨ Diversity Night 2026 Recap ✨🌏
What an incredible night! Thank you to everyone who came along and made Diversity Night 2026 such a memorable celebration of culture, community, and connection 💙

We were so excited to welcome over 250 attendees and share cuisines inspired by cultures from nearly 10 different countries 🍽️ From cultural activities including henna art, origami, drawings, board games, and the bingo raffle to Just Dance and snack packs, the night was filled with laughter, connection, and great energy from everyone involved🔥

We especially loved seeing so many of you wearing your traditional and cultural attire👘🥻proudly bringing a piece of home and sharing their cultures with the community 🌏💫

A big thank you as well to everyone who brought their own bowls, utensils, and cups to help make the event more sustainable ♻️💙
