Hey everyone!

IVSA has started an initiative as a response to the many discriminatory problems that have been happening everywhere. If you’re a member of UQIVSA (IVSA Queensland), we really encourage you to answer this survey so that we can better understand each individual’s perspectives and challenges!

Link to the Survey: bit.ly/SurveyOnDiscrimination
Deadline to fill in the Survey is 30th of April, 2021.

[Survey on Discrimination - Extended Deadline]

In response to the worldwide Black Lives Matter movement, we as IVSA felt obliged to actively participate in the fight against social injustice. There is no better time than NOW, for us as at IVSA to take a more proactive stance, when it comes to humanitarian causes, which lie close to the hearts of many of our members worldwide. Therefore, as a start and no by no means a perfect one, we have developed this survey for all of our members to answer so please do not feel excluded in any way from participating!

The aim of this survey is to address the different ways in which our members encounter discrimination, gain more of an understanding about the challenges they face and to see how we can better address such issues in order for IVSA to develop more holistically and become a more inclusive association.

Deadline to fill in the Survey is 30th of April, 2021.

If you have ever experienced, or are experiencing any sort of discrimination within IVSA, do not hesitate to contact [email protected]. We take these matters very seriously and will try to be of help as much as possible!

Calling all adventure seekers! It is time once again to come to the wild side with Symco.

For those that are unaware of what Symco is, it is a Wildlife Symposium hosted in South Africa by a committee of veterinary students from Onderstepoort every second year.

Put the chaos of 2020 behind you and make 2021 your best year yet! Applications are opening on the 19th of October and the event will take place in August 2021.

*Please note that this event is only open to current veterinary students.*

We are also looking for members of MOs around the world that would be interested in helping us spread the word and do some easy advertising if they are willing :)

Please see the attached poster and head to our website www.symco.co.za for more information and feel free to contact us with any questions!
