Local Ambulance Committees are made up of volunteers who take an active interest in supporting their ambulance personnel.We raise funds to purchase equipment, hold first aid/CPR courses, promote safety initiatives.

Your Gatton Local Ambulance Committee is offering our first free Awareness training session for 2026, A part of our community education program.

Held on Thursday 20 August between 9am - 12 noon at the Gatton Library hub https://maps.app.goo.gl/rmx84f3oKHZe7X8w5Gatton

We can cover based on attendees' interest in:
BASIC FIRST AID C P R
FIRST AID KIT "spring clean" - bring yours in.
QAS Paramedic will check your kit between 10-11am
SNAKE BITE

Each session is roughly 30 minutes Stay as long as you like, no booking required.

This Saturday 9 May 9am-3pm we're having a display at Gatton SS 150th anniversary.
Please come at talk with us, examples -
* AED Does your community group have access to an AED (defibrator)? If you could benefit from an AED, come and talk to us. We may be able to assist.
* CPR resuscitation is easy to learn and can save a life. We can offer you some basic training.
* First aid we'll offer you advice. Bring your first aid kit and we can check out your items. Some could need replacing.
* Snake Alive correctly applying a bandage to snake bit will increase the chance of survival. We can show you how.
* Stop the Bleed can you apply and torniquet correctly?

Our next committee meeting starts 12 noon Friday 22 May at Gatton Ambulance Centre. Our meetings generally last for around an hour. You're welcome to attend.

Our next committee meeting starts 12 noon Friday 20 February 2026. We've been a bit unluck, having to postpone twice in February.
Anyone is welcome to attend and hear what our committee is planning for 2026.

Apology- we've needed to move our Quarterly LAC meeting from this Friday to Wednesday 4 February. Please arrive for a start at 12 midday. Reminder- our next Committee meeting is this Friday 30 January. Starting at 12 midday at our Gatton Ambulance Centre. Our meeting generally last for an hour. Please consider coming along and share your ideas or offer your support. You can find out what activities we are likely planning for 2026. We want to keep our community safe and healthy.
