Reminder Pre-Orders are Still Open!
Our Galston CWA Mother’s Day Pop-Up Stall is happening this Saturday, 9th May from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, and we’re still taking cupcake pre-orders!
If you’d like to treat Mum (or yourself!) to something sweet, now’s the time to secure your order. Quantities on the day will be limited, so pre-ordering is the best way to avoid missing out.

Our upcoming Mother’s Day Raffle is now on sale, with some fantastic prizes generously donated by local businesses.

Tickets are just $2 each and are now available at Nati Roses and online through facebook. We will also be selling tickets at our stalls Saturday 9th May out the front of Galston Bendigo bank 348 Galston road Galston and Galston nails near Aldi.

Celebrate Mum with something sweet this Mother’s Day!
Visit our pop-up stalls at Galston Village, located outside Bendigo Bank (348 Galston road Galston) and Galston Nails, for a delightful selection of freshly baked goods.

Pre-orders are now open for cupcakes.

We're once again sharing one of our favourite Anzac biscuit recipe (from the CWA Cook Book).

**CWA of NSW Anzac Biscuit Recipe**
150g (1 cup) plain flour
220g (1 cup) sugar
100g (1 cup) rolled oats
90g (1 cup) desiccated coconut
125g butter
1 tablespoon golden syrup
2 tablespoons boiling water
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C and lightly grease two baking trays.

Combine the flour in a bowl with the sugar, rolled oats and coconut. Melt the butter in a saucepan with the golden syrup over medium heat. Combine the boiling water with the bicarbonate of soda and stir to dissolve.

Add to the butter mixture and mix well, then stir into the dry ingredients until thoroughly combined.

Drop teaspoons of the mixture onto the trays, allowing room for spreading.

Bake for 10 minutes, or until golden brown.

Allow to cool on the tray for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Note: They're more on the crunchy side but it depends how long you bake them for. We've heard half the sugar works just as well but haven't tested it.

Today was a busy and enjoyable day for the Galston CWA Branch as we celebrated our 68th birthday.
We also presented certificates to members for their entries in our Land Cookery Competition, and enjoyed a noodle cooking demonstration by one of our very talented members.
It was a lovely day of friendship, shared talents and celebrating all that makes our branch special.
