Fryerstown School is a refurbished schoolhouse now used as a community facility for social, educational and artistic activities, and run by a committee of management. The Fryerstown School philosophy is based on bringing people together through food, education, the arts, and an appreciation of nature and the environment, regardless of age, culture, social class and ability. s available for hire by individuals and groups to run their own workshops, exhibitions, performances and other functions such as weddings, birthday parties, reunions and school camps. The school’s proximity to the Goldfields Track, a walking and mountain bike track connecting Ballarat and Bendigo via small towns like Fryerstown, makes the school an ideal base for exploring the flora, fauna and features of the Castlemaine Diggings National Heritage Park. Camping, with shower facilities, is available onsite and many great memories are created around the crackling fire. The facility is managed by a community committee on behalf of DELWP (the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning). Committees are appointed for a 3-year term. Committee

The Old Fryerstown School Trivia night is being held on Saturday 1st November.
This is one of our major fundraisers to help maintain and manage this very special place. Evening begins at 6:30pm for a 7pm start. Tickets $15 and $10 concession. BYO snacks, drinks available to purchase. There will be door prizes, a silent auction and all the fun of the Trivia!
