This piano was kindly donated to the Cottage Music Foundation. It has now been delivered to a school in the southern suburbs of Perth. A real gift. 🎶🎶

There was great excitement amongst the Year 2s in the music classroom when this recently-donated, beautiful piano arrived in their music room.

She taught be the importance of listening to others, but also to myself. From her, I learned to trust instinct, a confidence forged through practice and rehearsal. Even now, when seeing patients, it can surface as a sense that something is off, before it is clear on paper. In this way, my years at the piano became a way of practicing for life."

The Savanna Griechen Fund was established to provide music programs for children with special needs in education-support schools, hospitals and hospices. Savanna Griechen was a student of Micheál's at WAAPA. In recent years, she completed a Masters in Music Therapy while bravely battling gastric cancer. Savanna had a passion for the provision of music therapy to children in need. Sadly, after a number of years in remission, her cancer returned. She passed away in February 2025 at the age of 38.
