We’re excited to be part of the Christmas Box project this year! Our board has decided pay the freight costs which will be $12.50 per box. We’d love for members and Rotary supporters to contribute items for the boxes, and our club will cover the freight. Members are kindly asked to hand over the items to any Fremantle Rotary member.
Here are some suggestions for items:
‘Wow’ Toys: Think stuffed animals, dolls, soccer balls with a pump, toy trucks or musical instruments.
School Supplies: Notebooks, pens, pencils, crayons, coloured markers, pencil sharpeners and erasers.
Personal Care: Toothbrushes, hairbrushes, combs, and washcloths.
Clothing & Accessories: Socks, T-shirts, hats, scarfs, sunglasses, or hair ties.
Extras: A personal note or photo of you or your family.

We were asked to manage parking at Fremantle Park on the grand final day with very little notice. After chatting with Fremantle City Council, we decided to go ahead.

The FCC suggested we charge $10 per car. We opened the parking area at 8 am and stayed open until 12:30 pm, which was enough to accommodate almost 200 cars.
Everyone was so grateful to have parking, and we got lots of positive feedback.
It was a fantastic chance to show our support, help the FCC and get some extra money for our charity.
Kim organised the whole thing. Marie and Phil were amazing, working all morning. Vicki helped hand over the square to John Feary of Booragoon RC later in the morning. Thanks, John, we couldn’t have done it without you!
Paul came down at short notice to give us some technical help. George Booth, who is an honorary member and has one arm in a cast, helped direct traffic for the first two and a half hours. Max took over from George.
This event will really strengthen our relationship with the FCC, and they were very complimentary about how we handled everything.

We are so proud to be able to assist these students to participate in

🔬 A Fremantle College First!

Congratulations to Year 11 students Cassandra and Akira, who have been selected to attend the prestigious National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) Year 12 Program. This is the first time Fremantle College students have earned places in the program!

Cassandra will travel to Canberra, while Akira will head to Brisbane for the nine-day experience, staying on university campuses and immersing themselves in the world of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

They’ll tour leading science and technology facilities, discover cutting edge research, meet industry and research professionals and explore the many study and career pathways available in STEM.

A huge thank you to the Rotary Club of Fremantle and Rotary Club of Attadale for generously sponsoring the students to take part in this incredible opportunity.

What an achievement. Congratulations Cassie and Akira! We can’t wait to hear about your experiences.
