Loneliness can be hard to talk about, even though a lot of us experience it.

It doesn’t always show up in the way you’d expect either. You can feel lonely during big life changes, when living away from family or community, after losing someone important, or even when you’re around people but still don’t feel understood.

If you’re feeling lonely right now, take it at your own pace. You don’t have to have it all figured out.

Reaching out to support services can be an important step on your mental health and wellbeing journey. When you’re ready to talk, we get that you’ll probably want help straight away. Sometimes though, you might have to wait before you can see someone.

Being on a waitlist can be tough and bring up lots of emotions. You might feel anxious, hopeless or annoyed. And these are normal responses. Always remember though, the wait doesn’t mean your needs aren’t important.

We know that waiting, even for a short time, can be tough. While it’s not ideal, some people use that time to reflect and get ready for the journey ahead. Fore more information and tips please visit the link below

Discover practical coping strategies and self-help techniques to manage your mental health while waiting for counselling. headspace is here to help you navigate the waiting period.

🖤💛❤️ National Reconciliation Week (27 May-3 June) is an opportunity for all Australians to reflect on our shared histories, cultures and achievements, and to consider how we can each contribute to reconciliation.

The 2026 theme, All In, is a call for wholehearted commitment. It reminds us that reconciliation is not a passive process – it requires action from all of us.

headspace Fremantle are committed to supporting reconciliation for all First Nations young people, their families and community through ongoing learning, connection and action. We are proud to work in Walyalup on Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar Country, and this always was and always will be Aboriginal Land.🖤💛❤️
