It’s Holden Sheppard, YEAH! 💪

The award-winning writer has come a long way since his early days in Geraldton, and so have his characters in Invisible Boys. Following the story of Charlie, Zeke and Hammer, Yeah the Boys is a bold, propulsive new novel about male friendship, masculinity, modern gay life and the first gay male AFL player. Hear Holden chat all about his latest book in a feature interview with Claire Nichols, host of Radio National’s The Book Show.

Thanks to support from Lotterywest, the iconic SEC Substation is crackling and humming once again, marking an important first step in revitalising Fremantle’s East End for the community. We’ve been able to create an accessible hub for Western Australia’s readers and writers in this landmark location, giving Fremantle Press room to grow with desks for interns, a podcast room for audio recordings and a space to host small gatherings. And we’ve installed many, many bookshelves in the process.

We can’t wait to show you what we can do from our newly fitted-out and furnished base, all made possible with a grant from Lotterywest.
