We’ve expanded Fremantle Hospital, boosting mental health services and improving access to care for the community.

The expansion includes 40 new purpose-built mental health beds and a new 24/7 Mental Health Crisis Centre.

The Crisis Centre will provide a dedicated entry point for people experiencing mental health distress, offering timely assessment, support and care in a purpose-built environment.

Importantly, it gives people an alternative to emergency departments during a mental health crisis, ensuring they receive the right care while also easing pressure on our hospitals.

It’s all about making sure Western Australians can access the care they need, when they need it.

Hello everyone,
We have 3 places available currently if anyone would like to jump in and train in Youth Mental Health First Aid - you will be all accredited ready for the new year and know how to support the youth mental health in your community, family, workplace. There is just enough time for you to do the 5-6 hour e-learning which needs to be completed before Dec 17th so you are ready for a day face to face training on Dec 17th - location our Fremantle Training room.
