Dolly at Cruden ? Does anyone remember this ?

✨ A very special memory from Cruden Farm… ✨
In early 1987, we were honoured to welcome the one and only Dolly Parton to Cruden Farm for a private family event.
Glamorous, gracious and unforgettable — Dolly left behind a very special memory for those who had the pleasure of meeting her here at the Farm.
Today, we’re delighted to look back on that wonderful moment and celebrate a truly remarkable woman whose music, spirit and generosity have touched generations.
Thank you for the memories, Dolly. 💕
It was an honour to have you at Cruden Farm. 🌿🎶

One of the most iconic features of Cruden Farm is its magnificent avenue of lemon-scented gum trees, which have welcomed visitors for nearly a century. Planted around 1930, these towering trees create one of Victoria’s most memorable garden entrances.

The estate is also home to beautiful English oaks, copper beeches, weeping elms, liquidambars, tupelos, and rare ornamental oaks. Throughout the seasons, these trees transform the landscape with stunning displays of colour, shade, and character.

Originally the home of Dame Elisabeth Murdoch, Cruden Farm has become one of Victoria’s most treasured gardens, blending native Australian species with classic European trees to create a unique and beautiful landscape right here in Langwarrin.

🍂 From brilliant autumn colours to the fresh scent of eucalyptus, every tree at Cruden Farm tells part of the property’s remarkable story

Cruden Farm is one of Victoria’s most beloved historic gardens and a true gem of Langwarrin. Once the home of Dame Elisabeth Murdoch, she devoted more than 80 years to developing and nurturing the property into the remarkable landscape visitors enjoy today.

Known for its spectacular gardens, Cruden Farm is considered one of Victoria’s most significant private gardens open to the public. Visitors are welcomed by the iconic driveway lined with more than 100 lemon-scented gum trees, creating one of the most memorable entrances in the state.

The gardens were originally influenced by renowned landscape designer Edna Walling in the 1930s and have evolved over the decades into a beautiful blend of formal and natural landscapes. What makes Cruden Farm especially unique is its combination of a historic garden and a working farm, all within suburban Langwarrin.

Today, the property offers lakes, walking trails, mature trees, seasonal flower displays, and peaceful open spaces for the community to enjoy year-round.
