The Westernport Regional Band is an independently run community band based on the Mornington Peninsula, bringing people together through a shared love of music. Erin Secondary College, Frankston from 7.30pm - 9.30pm.

🎵 The WPRB is independently operated and open to all musicians from any school or town. The band is available to people of any age and any ability with no audition process needed!

🎵 For a number of years we have been playing music on the Mornington Peninsula and surrounding areas. We strive to promote and encourage the appreciation of music around our community regardless of age or ability.

🎵 Our current members range in age from about 13 years to... quite a bit older! Our band comprises of woodwind, brass and rhythm and while we play a lot of big band jazz, we also play a variety of other styles of music.

🎵We are proudly conducted by Alistair Neil and Ian Oldstein whose passion for music inspire us all.

What a fantastic night we just had playing for Fusion Mornington Peninsula 's annual Gala at Dromana Estate. We were joined with the absolutely magnificent Ed Moon and Krystabel Forward on vocals for the evening with some massive hits that got the audience on their feet. What a great cause, supporting homeless youth and families on the Mornington Peninsula. 🎶🎵🎺🎹🎤🎷 just one more week until our next gig at Peppers Moonah Links Resort.

As always, a huge thanks to all our musicians, sound team and musical directors who have dedicated hours upon hours of their time to put this together ✨️✨️🙌

We can't wait for next week's workshop (12-5pm on 1st October)- if you know anyone under 19 that may be interested, please contact us at [email protected]

A little snapshot of our performance today at for their W**e and Jazz Festival!
The venue was perfect - sun shining on the balconies, ocean views, pockets of w**e vendors and music in every corner. We hope the festival is back next year! 🥳👏
We played a couple of sets, starting with jazz classics like 'Moondance' and some brilliant vocals by Krystabel with charts like 'Time After Time' and 'Sweet Georgia Brown.' Then as the afternoon sun creeped in, we played some party tunes💃🥳🕺 which turned out to be a popular choice with the dancers!
Thanks to those who came for a listen 🤩
