Fabulous.
Thank you to TโKeilor Flyball for hosting a fantastic Australian Flyball Nationals 2026.
Frankston Storm had a great weekend of laughs and camaraderie. From celebrating Charlesโ 21st birthday at the pub on Friday night, trivia madness on Saturday night and a couple of days of close, clean ๐งผ racing, we enjoyed the weekend to its fullest.
This year, we put together a motley team of diverse dogs with the goal of making it to Nats and having a great time; and we did just that! Unfortunately, we raced too hard, too fast and broke out of Division Six on our third race.
We were devastated but decided to make the most of the races we had left - either way, our dogs were having the best weekend ever!
Tilly and Lucy had never raced on mats before and they were nationals debutants. Tilly took it all in her stride and raced cleanly all weekend! Lucy had great ring exposure and got a few clean races in! We are so proud of them both ๐๐
Mocha and Zeke were our slow and steady dogs. They raced their hearts out all weekend and barely put a paw wrong. What more could you ask for? ๐พ
Milo and Star decided to push their crosses and run tight and fast till the very last race. Lauren and Mailie were playing chicken on the handicapped start lights - 0.032 & 0.030 were their best start times both done on Sunday! ๐ฆ
This team wouldnโt have possible without the contributions of some really amazing people. In no particular orderโฆ
Thank you to our Division Six Judge, Chris, and our Timekeepers, Gavin, Jess and Carly for your fairness and professionalism throughout racing.
Thank you Lauren for leading the pack as team captain. Your experience, confidence and commitment are always appreciated.
Thank you Charles, the glue holding us together on the box. Your skill is second-to-none and we are grateful for your commitment at every move.
Thank you Em for practicing your cross-calling faces, setting up our GoPro footage and keeping us hyped.
Thank you Sally for making sure we donโt trip on balls and fall on livestream!
Thank you to Peter for taking charge of warm up time and ensuring Howling Hounds had support to Place 2nd in Open 2.
Thank you to our HUGE support crew; Lauren, Zach, Jess, Bec, Amy, Lis, Aylah, Riley, Aaron, Hamish, Jake, Teige, and our three littlest flyballers for wearing blue and gold with such pride, even under trying circumstances.
Thank you to our team at home watching our races with eager anticipation and enthusiasm throughout the weekend. Your messages of support meant a lot to us!
Finally, thank you to our handlers, Diane, Kate, Barb, Stan, Lauren & Mailie for pushing their dogs to the limit each race and embodying our values of our club by finding the good things in every race.
