Southside Beekeepers Club Inc Southside Beekeepers Club Inc is a not-for-profit community club for hobby beekeepers - Educating the community on all things Apiary.

Founded in 2005 by Finian Burns and a small group of beekeepers, there was a need for a club to service some of the more southern suburbs of Melbourne Australia. The Southside Beekeepers Club was born. The club now has membership base of over 100 members and a volunteer committee of 8. The club meets once a month on the Fourth Wednesday in a local community center. We have introductory speakers f

or new-comers and beginners, and special guest speakers talking about specific topics, industry news, and what is new in the world of Beekeeping. New members and visitors can chat and ask questions to other members and learn more about this growing hobby of backyard beekeeping. The club runs courses on Beekeeping, offers practical sessions with hands-on experience with a real working hive. It offers the chance to do a Hive / NUC building course so you will be apt at doing most of the work yourself. The club always welcomes new members and encourages visitors to come along and find out more about bees.
