The meaning behind this mohawk is beautiful 👇🥹

Melbourne siblings Reuben, Ambrose and Ava shaved their heads in honour of their beloved nanny Colleen, who they lost to non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2018.

"Nanny was the ultimate glue to the family. All my memories of her are the purest, most joyful and loving memories I could ever possess." 💙

In the lead-up, with the help of Frank Ciccone, Reuben turned heads by cutting, shaving, and colouring a bold mohawk to spark conversations and raise more funds 👨‍🎤

The trio, known as Team RAVA, hosted their shave at their local pub, where the community showed up in full force.

With live music, including a performance from Reuben’s band, they created a night that celebrated their nanny while supporting those facing blood cancer 🎸

Together, they raised over $7,000 for life-changing research and support services!

🚌 Introducing 'Sheila', our first-ever Shave Shuttle!

She drove over 800kms across three days from Adelaide to Melbourne - making sure to stop by many 'giant' landmarks - and can't wait for the next adventure to visit regional communities.

Unofficial Shuttle Driver (but officially one of our Youth Reps), Nicholas Clark, summed up Sheila best...

🗣️ "We want to reach regional communities across Australia. We want to help them run Shave events because blood cancer affects everyone.

"Also, is it just me or are the Giant Koala's eyes really creepy!?" 🐨

The Shave Shuttle is a fully equipped World’s Greatest Shave experience, delivered straight to your school.

Where should our Shave Shuttle drive to next?

🫧 "Washing our heads for the first time was crazy, we used too much shampoo and ended up with bubbles everywhere!"

Peta and Charlotte braved the shave and raised $1000+ for Australians impacted by blood cancer, and donated 44cm of hair to Sustainable Salons 💇‍♀️

At first, they were both a little nervous and excited. But once the first plait was cut, there was no going back!

"Feeling our hair for the first time was amazing, and walking outside and feeling the breeze on our scalp was something else!

"By donating my hair, I felt that I could make someone else smile. It's nice to think we can help others feel better about themselves.

"In the end, if we can make life a little easier for one person, it's a success to us." 👩‍🦲💙

Surprising my parents with Slytherin-inspired hair....

💇‍♀️ After cutting her long hair for the World's Greatest Shave a few years ago, Urvi jumped back on board to support our great cause!

Four years ago, Urvi's dad was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) and almost lost his life.

🗣️ "We made it through the chemo, two years in and out of the hospital and his stem cell transplant, because of organisations like the Leukaemia Foundation."

Thank you to the thousands of people like Urvi, who colour, cut or shave their hair to raise vital funds for the 170,000 people in Australia living with blood cancer 💙

"Her specific type of cancer is so rare that there are only three cases, including hers, in Australia currently."

Brianna was only 14 when her world turned upside down...

🗣️ "She was showing some strange and concerning symptoms, including an unexplained rash on her arm and a severe nosebleed," said her mum, Shantelle.

They went to their doctor, who said Brianna might have gastro.

"Once we were back home, Brianna started coughing up blood uncontrollably. It was very scary."

🩸 The next day, tests at hospital revealed the devastating diagnosis of acute promyelocytic leukaemia (APML) - a subtype of acute myeloid leukaemia (AML).

To save her life, Brianna began treatment the same day she arrived at the hospital. She went on to receive nine months of intensive chemotherapy.

👩‍🦲 "During her treatment, Brianna lost her hair, which was difficult emotionally, on top of having cancer. Before treatment, she had really long hair. She could almost sit on it, it was that long!"

The Leukaemia Foundation provided Brianna, her parents, and five younger siblings with financial and emotional support while she underwent life-saving cancer treatment.

💙 Thankfully, Brianna completed her treatment in July last year and is in remission, and her hair is slowly growing back.

She's so excited to be back at home with her family, and back at school for Grade 11 🙌
