Greetings to our BMS community,
As many of you know we are moving from our Fortitude Valley space to our new home in Wooloongabba!
Packing has begun at the Fortitude Valley space, with the space closing to members on Friday the 28th of August. From Friday access will not be permitted unless you are helping at the Friday, Saturday, or Sunday working bee, with the new space opening to members only on Monday 31st of August. The open nights will resume from Monday the 7th of September.
If you want to help, you are invited to at any time and without asking in advance.
The new property is at 35 Balaclava St, Woolloongabba.
We’d like to give a big thank you to our community for being accommodating during this time, we can’t wait to share our new space with everyone and hope you all love it just as much as we do.
Friday working bee: primary goal is to move everything remaining circled in green (and in basement) to the new property.
Saturday working bee: primary goal is to move everything else on site to the new property. We'll hire a small truck to assist with this. We'll need to move the vending machines and this will require very special attention for safety. They will be switched off and pulled apart into individual parts to make them lighter on Wednesday.
Sunday working bee: primary goal is to clean everything and move the remaining bits and pieces. everything needs to be out by the end of Sunday. Then the next few days will be spent cleaning and repairing everything.
