We offer nature and creative arts programs for 5-12 year olds and a playgroup program for 0-5 year olds.

As the year comes to a close, we just want to say thank you.

Thank you to every family who showed up week after week, to the children who filled our days with curiosity and joy, to our facilitators, volunteers and supporters who help hold this community together, and to everyone who believes in what Silky Oak is growing into.

This year has been full of muddy feet, deep conversations, learning through doing, moments of connection and quiet reflection. None of it happens without the support of this community, and we’re so grateful for each and every part you play.

We’re excited to rest, reflect, and then step into 2026 with open hearts, welcoming back familiar faces and meeting new families as Silky Oak continues to grow and thrive.

Karen Kerkhoven is a visionary interdisciplinary artist, choreographer, and dance educator based in Coomba Park, NSW, whose work beautifully merges visual art, movement, and creative philosophy.
