Big thanks to everyone who came along to celebrate the 2025/2026 season with us.

Huge congrats to all our Award winners -
Gordon Godwin Club Persons of the Year Award - Ryan Crompton & Cathy Quinn
Leading Patrol Hour Award - John Quinn & Beth Lee
Presidents Award - Mike Keegan for his efforts in compiling club history and awards gained by members including reviewing archive SLSNSW - Advocate, Manning River Times and Historical Society.

Associate Members Award - Wendy Fahey &
Wayne Gooley.

Thankyou to our members receiving 25 and 30 year long service awards, a tremendous contribution to surf lifesaving and the community .

We gave 100% patrol attendance to 17 patrol members this season.

Thank you to Sasha, Daniel & Adele who hosted the evening, Tru Blu Catering for the delicious food, our bar volunteers, Terry Davis for the awesome live music and our awesome social team for pulling it all together behind the scenes.

Well that’s a wrap on the 2025/2026 season! The flags have officially been lowered at Forster Main Beach.

A sincere thank you to everyone who patrolled and helped keep our beach safe this season, an outstanding effort by all.

A special mention to our Life Members who attended the lowering of the flags today Brian Wilcox, Beth Lee, Ron Hartley, John Quinn, Simon Lee and Julie Wilcox.

This ANZAC Day we remember and honour the courage, sacrifice and service of all who have served.

Forster Surf Life Saving Club is incredibly proud of our youth members, Daniel Reid and Sasha Belic who represented our club at this morning’s dawn service by laying a wreath in honour of those who gave so much.

Their actions reflect the same spirit of service, courage and mateship that continues through Surf Lifesavers today.

Today we remember.
Lest we forget.

Forster Surf Lifesaving Club was very pleased with the announcement by Minister for Sport, Steve Kamper that we were successful in funding of $87,938 in the Surf Club Facility Grant program this year. 61 individual projects across more than a third of the surf clubs in NSW underscore the $5.4 million commitment from the NSW Government’s Surf Club Facilities Program in 2026 – with all recipients formally announced at Wanda SLSC.

The installation of an additional 38kW of solar panels and provision of 96kW of batteries to provide power to the new Surf Club, reduce the reliance on power from the grid and eliminate the need for construction of a new substation at a cost of $400,000.

John Quinn and Ron Hartley were ecstatic as this grant continues the process of allowing the club to fully operate with the provision of solar and batteries against the prospect of finding over $400,000 for a substation.

This solution will allow us to manage our energy costs in a sustainable way and allocate more funds to lifesaving and development of our youth and patrolling members.
