On Saturday, a fantastic collaborative effort between The Forbes Historical Museum , Galari River Arts Forbes Inc , and the Forbes Men’s Shed brought together a wonderful group of Forbes locals for a meaningful trip to Orange.

Supported by Club Forbes, the journey was all about showing our collective support for the official launch of Men’s Health Week.

Hosted by Philip Donato and beautifully MC’d by Barry Du Bois, the event was an absolute rollercoaster of emotions. It was a powerful day where we truly did it all. We learned a lot, we shared plenty of laughs, and we even shed a few tears. It was an unforgettable experience that reminded us all how important it is to look out for one another - and how important it is to be connected within your community.

Thank you to everyone involved for presenting this very important message in a very unique and powerful manner.

Talk about Community Spirit in Action!

A massive thank you to the wonderful team at Rotary Club of Forbes Ipomoea. 🌟

Our very own Mr. Adams had a fantastic time attending their June Monthly breakfast meeting. He loved having the opportunity to chat about our upcoming museum projects and share a bit about why our volunteer team is so vital to keeping local history alive.

We were absolutely blown away to be presented with a generous $1000 donation from the profits from the recent "Banjo Paterson" show hosted by Rotary Ipomoea.🙌

Donations like this keep our doors open and our history preserved. We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of local groups working together to make Forbes such a vibrant place to live.

We have big plans for the Forbes Museum. Drop us a line if you'd like to get involved.

The true strength of the Forbes community lies in collaboration.

This Saturday, members of the The Forbes Historical Museum have organised a bus to Orange to attend the launch of Men's Health Week, generously supported by Club Forbes.

When the initiative needed a driver, the Men's Shed gladly stepped in to fill the gap ❤️ It is wonderful to see three of our vital local organisations working hand-in-hand to support such an important cause.

Hosted by Barry Du Bois, a live amateur arm-wrestling competition is set to launch Men's Health Week in the Orange Electorate, a unique way about starting conversations and reminding men to prioritise their health 😊

Based out of Lyon, France, singer-songwriter Marco Bing has a new folk-inspired production that breathes fresh life into the Ben Hall story.

The accompanying clip tells Ben Hall's story through 26 stunning artworks—including pieces by renowned Australian artists like Tom Roberts and Frederick McCubbin. Some of these classics have been creatively reworked to vividly bring iconic scenery and historical events to life.

This song was inspired by the incredible collection of articles, photos, and writings curated by Mark Matthews on his website: www.benhallaustralianbushranger.com — a truely comprehensive resource.

It took a great deal of strength and manoeuvring but Brett Lord and Hayden Everett managed to lift this 1950’s handmade canoe into position at the Forbes Historical Museum. They came as visitors with their lovely wives Danni and Sarah and families but became workers in helping us to display our exhibits, as well as changing two fluorescent tubes.
Many, many thanks. All of us at the museum are so grateful for your input as we no longer have sufficient lifting manpower . Thanks again
