DYING TO TALK?
Talking about death isn’t easy—but it can be some of the most meaningful conversations you’ll ever have.
Join us for a relaxed, respectful gathering led by Terri Soumilas from Mercy Palliative Care. Together we’ll explore thoughts and feelings around death, dying, planning, and what it means to live well.
✨ A safe space for open conversation
✨ Gentle support in a welcoming environment
✨ Learn about things you can do now, planning ahead can bring peace of mind and make things easier for those you care about.
Come as you are — everyone is welcome. Whether you’re planning ahead or simply curious, these conversations can help ease fears, strengthen connections, and ensure your values and wishes are known.

BOOKSHOP CRAWL
If you are a book tragic and love looking at books, feeling books, smelling books and reading books, come join us on a bookshop crawl on Sunday’s 21 August, starting at 1:30pm at the Queen Victoria Market. The event is part of our ‘booklovers indulgence’ series in Melbourne, a UN City of Literature.
We start at the nanarrm ngarrgu library at 141 Therry Street, just beside the Queen Victoria Market. After a quick tour of the library, its collections, roof top garden and podcast studio we will visit Books for Cooks, Amplify and Willows and Wine. Its all in the name! They’re within a short walking distance of each other.
This tour covers specific and generalist collections, new and second hand. There is no need to buy a book, the visits are to see what is out there, think about what you might want to read later and keep a love of books alive. And maybe start your birthday list!
Enrol now to secure your place via our website under ‘Courses and Activities’!
