VU in the Community VU is proud to be part of the community. We host events, exhibitions, workshops, seminars, talks and a range of services open to all.

Victoria University’s heartland is the west of Melbourne. We work alongside communities in the region – in partnership with local government, community groups and other VU departments and colleges – to develop programs tailored to local needs. Our goal is to leverage broader community benefits from VU's presence, at each of our campuses. By contributing to local developments, major projects and ev

ents in Melbourne's west, we in turn enhance our University. Our involvement in the west includes:

- Footscray University Town
- outreach programs in Brimbank and Wyndham
- an education and community program in Hume.
