Footscray Flickers Crokinole Club Please join our social group of Crokinole players who gather monthly on a Wednesday night. It’s free! Crokinole is not a patented game.

The Footscray Flickers are considered to be Melbourne's oldest and most loved Crokinole Club. Crokinole is a dexterity board game of Canadian origin similar in various ways to pitchnut, carrom, marbles, shove ha'penny, with elements of shuffleboard and curling reduced to table-top size. Players take turns shooting discs across the circular playing surface, trying to have their discs land in the hi

gher-scoring regions of the board, while also attempting to knock away opposing discs. It is in the public domain. The earliest known crokinole board was made by craftsman Eckhardt Wettlaufer in 1876 in Perth County, Ontario, Canada. A game of crokinole goes very well with a beer and friends, and the Footscray Flickers exist as a public group in order to share this joy with anyone who wishes to play. The Footscray Flickers host a singles and multiplayer tournament once per month on a Wednesday evening across the annual season. Players earn points each month for finishing 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and even for just attending! :) The top 8 finishers at the end of the season qualify for the annual Crokinole Cup Championship.

Round 5- Review!

Thanks to the 41 people who entered the tournaments last night at !

The and boards were getting utilized to the max, and 13 boards were available for competitive and casual play on the night.

💥 We also had 15 new players on the night, a Footscray Flickers record! 💥

See you in the downstairs lounge at 7pm for the Southern Hemisphere’s biggest and best ‘learn to play’ crokinole night!

No experience necessary in order to turn up and play, just show up and have a go of this easy to learn game with minimal rules! We welcome new people at our ‘free to play’ event!

Here are the updated standings after Round 4 of the FFCC Regular Season. Thanks to club President Al-Flicks for amending the table.

Don’t forget that anyone can attend our monthly events, and we welcome people from all around Melbourne to join us, even new people who have just moved to the inner west. There is no preregistration needed, just show up and we’ll take care of the rest.
