Drummoyne Toastmasters Come along as our guest and see what Toastmasters is all about! Meetings are held every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at 7pm, Club Five Dock.

Every Toastmaster has a first speech, and tonight it was Preeti's turn.

Preeti shared a heartfelt story of her journey, reflecting on her humble beginnings, how far she has come, and the experiences that have shaped who she is today. She spoke with authenticity, warmth and courage, reminding us that the most powerful speeches are often the most personal.

Her willingness to step onto the stage for her very first Ice Breaker was recognised with not one, but two awards:

🦋 This August, we're getting BodyKind and finding our voice while we're at it.

At Drummoyne Toastmasters, no two meetings look the same. Every session is built around a fresh theme tied to current events, holidays, or special occasions because we believe learning to communicate should be fun, not formulaic.

This month we're taking inspiration from BodyKind August, a national initiative encouraging kindness in how we speak about our bodies and ourselves. It's a great reminder that confidence — on stage and off — starts with the way we talk to ourselves.

We're intentional about every agenda: each meeting is a chance to practise a new skill, hear a new perspective, and grow a little more comfortable in your own voice.

Our next meeting is Wednesday, 12th August, and our doors are wide open to new members and guests. Our members would love to meet you.

Today, we celebrate and give thanks to all the wonderful mothers, grandmothers and mother figures who support, inspire, and encourage us every day.

We hope all our members enjoy a beautiful day surrounded by love, laughter, and special moments with family and loved ones.
