Drummoyne Toastmasters Come along as our guest and see what Toastmasters is all about! Meetings are held every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at 7pm, Club Five Dock.

We provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self confidence and personal growth.

What could change for you in just a few months? 🎤

At our last Drummoyne Toastmasters meeting, held under the theme of Father’s Day, we saw exactly why this club exists.

Luke only joined a few months ago. Since then, he has taken on meeting roles, joined the Executive Team as Sergeant at Arms, and this week stepped into the role of Evaluator for the very first time.

And boy, did he nail it. đź‘Ź

His confidence, presence and delivery showed just how much growth can happen when you keep showing up and saying yes to the next challenge. Luke also took home the Most Improved award — very well deserved. 🏆

We also had a guest return after first visiting us almost a year ago. She is now ready to join our club, and we could not be more excited to welcome her into the Drummoyne Toastmasters family.

That is the magic of Toastmasters.

You can visit once, come back when the time is right, and find a room full of people ready to support your next step.

🎤 Fathers, mentors and the voices that shape us.

This week at Drummoyne Toastmasters, we’re taking inspiration from Father’s Day. A reminder of the people who encourage us, challenge us, guide us, and help us stand a little taller.

At Toastmasters, every meeting is a chance to practise more than public speaking. We practise confidence, active listening, constructive feedback, leadership, and the courage to get up and have a go.

Whether you’re preparing for a speech, taking on a meeting role, joining Table Topics®, or simply watching others grow, there is always something to learn in the room.

Every Toastmaster has a first speech, and tonight it was Preeti's turn.

Preeti shared a heartfelt story of her journey, reflecting on her humble beginnings, how far she has come, and the experiences that have shaped who she is today. She spoke with authenticity, warmth and courage, reminding us that the most powerful speeches are often the most personal.

Her willingness to step onto the stage for her very first Ice Breaker was recognised with not one, but two awards:

🏅Most Improved.

🦋 This August, we're getting BodyKind and finding our voice while we're at it.

At Drummoyne Toastmasters, no two meetings look the same. Every session is built around a fresh theme tied to current events, holidays, or special occasions because we believe learning to communicate should be fun, not formulaic.

This month we're taking inspiration from BodyKind August, a national initiative encouraging kindness in how we speak about our bodies and ourselves. It's a great reminder that confidence — on stage and off — starts with the way we talk to ourselves.

We're intentional about every agenda: each meeting is a chance to practise a new skill, hear a new perspective, and grow a little more comfortable in your own voice.

Our next meeting is Wednesday, 12th August, and our doors are wide open to new members and guests. Our members would love to meet you.

Today, we celebrate and give thanks to all the wonderful mothers, grandmothers and mother figures who support, inspire, and encourage us every day.
