š®š¹š¦šŗ Our final day in Perth: meaningful meetings, memorable moments and new connections.
Andrea Acciai, National Coordinator of Patronato ACLI - Associazioni Cristiane Lavoratori Italiani Australia, together with Andrea Pastacaldi of Made Of Italy rounded off this visit with a day dedicated to community and Italian culture.
In beautiful City Of Fremantle, we met with John Alberti of Alberti Realty to discuss current and future community projects, sharing ideas and opportunities for collaboration.
In the evening, we attended a wonderful event exploring Elena Ferranteās Lāamica geniale ā My Brilliant Friend at the The University of Western Australia , in the presence of the Consul of Italy in Perth Consolato dāItalia a Perth , as part of the Week of the Italian Language in the World with the involvement of the Dante Alighieri Society of Western Australia Dante.
A packed lecture theatre enjoyed a fascinating conversation with publisher Eva Ferri and translator Ann Goldstein, who joined remotely, with Ann connecting from New York. The event was introduced by Dr Maria Rosaria Francomacaro of UWA and moderated by journalist Ada Guglielmino.
A beautiful reminder of how language, literature and culture bring people together across generations and borders.
For Patronato ACLI Australia, these days have been a valuable opportunity to listen, build relationships and strengthen ties with the Western Australian community, laying the foundations for future collaborations.
A special thank you to Andrea Pastacaldi for sharing every stage of this visit, and to everyone we met for their warm welcome, time and ideas.
We leave with wonderful memories and new connections. Arrivederci, Perth! ā¤ļø
