Throwback to Term 2, when the Cubs had a great weekend at our magical-themed camp!

They made their own wands, created energy elixirs (aka trail mix), took on a forest quest hike to Mason’s Falls, and finished up with some magical baking.

A fun weekend of creativity, adventure and getting outdoors!

A few weeks ago, our Cubs put their creativity and teamwork to the test with a fun pasta and marshmallow tower challenge!

They worked in small teams with just 8 minutes to build the tallest tower they could.

The Cubs then put their cooking skills into practice, preparing their own sauces before enjoying the pasta they had helped cook.

A fantastic evening of teamwork, creativity, cooking and learning!

Throwback to Term 1!

Earlier this year, our Cubs enjoyed a fantastic evening of football at a Melbourne Victory match.

Joining thousands of passionate fans, the Cubs soaked up the atmosphere, cheered from the stands and enjoyed watching all the action unfold on the field. A great night out and a memorable experience for everyone!

Throwback to Term 1, when our Cubs were busy in the kitchen, building their baking skills to make delicious chocolate balls and ANZAC biscuits.

They followed recipes, measured out ingredients and practised essential kitchen skills, all while working together and having fun. A great hands-on activity that was tasty and educational.

During Term 2, our Cubs got creative with a mix of hands-on activities and imaginative challenges.

They explored nature-inspired art by using leaves to create their own unique paintings, then put their design and building skills to work by making and flying their very own frisbees.

Both activities were a great way to encourage creativity, problem-solving and teamwork — all while having lots of fun!

Throwback to Term 1!

A few months ago, our Cubs headed off on an exciting camp. They took on canoeing, rock climbing, abseiling and zip-lining, stepping outside their comfort zones and embracing every challenge.

It was fantastic to see their courage, teamwork and confidence grow throughout the camp.

During Term 2, our Cub Scouts took on the mountain bike skills trail at Lillydale Lake for an exciting and challenging riding session!

The riders put their bike handling skills to the test, navigating a range of features and obstacles while building confidence and having plenty of fun along the way. A fantastic session on the trails!

What an action-packed Cub Scout camp weekend!

From the moment we hit the road to Gilwell Park, our Cubs jumped into adventure mode—abseiling, flying fox, and even canoeing. They made their own wraps for lunch, cooked mini pizzas for dinner, and capped off the day with a night hike and movie.

After a cozy night under canvas, Sunday brought pancakes, pack-up, and a final challenge on the bouldering wall before heading home.

So proud of our Cubs for their teamwork, bravery, and big smiles all weekend long!

The Fitzroy Scout Group had an unforgettable night out in February cheering on Melbourne Victory!

From the electric atmosphere to the big plays on the field, it was a fantastic experience full of excitement, teamwork, and plenty of cheering.
