Refresh your feeds with this story! We had the absolute pleasure of starting our day with Emma from where we witnessed her hard work re-planting a nature strip as part of the Melbourne Pollinator Corridor πŸͺ²

Heartscapes is striving for biodiversity in our urban landscapes, connecting people with nature, and importantly, learning from indigenous culture to care for country. The Melbourne Pollinator Corridor is an Australian-first innovation, which will connect the Westgate Park to the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne. Slowly but surely, they are transforming barren nature strips into native gardens!

This is salt of the earth work and we're all benefitting from it. Conservation in the cities is so important. Thank you, Emma, for your dedication to nature and your contagious optimism πŸ’š

Our National Climate Policy Adviser, Annika Reynolds, was in the federal budget lockup last night, where they heard first-hand that there will be no new tax on Australian gas exports and at least 7 times more will be spent on damaging climate and nature than protecting it!

This was a choice. Time and time again, the federal government favour the fossil fuel industry over the Australian people and our precious planet.

We deserve better.

Everything in tonight's budget is a choice.

In case anyone didn't know, the Prime Minister enjoyed a cosy breakfast with Big Gas execs and the resources industry in Perth this morning... and then walked out and told the media he had ruled out a gas exports tax for existing contracts.

What does this tell us? The PM is serving vested interests over the Australian public and still has the gall to call the gas exports campaign dishonest.

Here's the truth: we pay more excise tax on beer than the Australian gas industry pays in a key tax called the PRRT and Australian nurses and teachers pay more in professional income tax than the PRRT.

In the middle of a global fuel crisis there is no better time to put a tax on Australian gas exports - Big Gas is making mega profits from the war and everyday Australians are getting nothing from it but price hikes and price shocks.

It's hard to make sense when the PM sides with Big Gas but then we remember the Australian Labor Party received more than A$1 million from the fossil fuel industry before the 2025 federal election, with significant contributions from major gas producers like Chevron, INPEX Santos and Woodside.

People are hurting, our planet is hurting and Big Gas greed is causing the harm but getting a free ride.

It's never too late to tax Big Gas greed.

Anyone else play 'contact' back in the day? You know it's a good day at work when it involves a bushwalk, and for the month of May I'll be leading our ACF team for Australia's Biggest Bushwalk.

a special ep this week πŸ’š

Earlier this week I returned to parliament house in my new role as ACF CEO. New job, same values. We need urgent tax reform in this country to supply much needed financial relief to everyday Aussies doing it tough.

Big gas greed is ruining this country.
Big gas corporations have too much power and don’t pay enough tax.
Sometimes they don’t even pay tax at all.

For most of the last decade, Santos brought in on average over $4 billion a year in revenue and paid no company tax. US-based ConocoPhillips, which operates the massive gas export terminal at Gladstone, has paid $0 in company tax since 2020 while generating more than $8.5 billion in revenue.

When a nurse pays more tax than a multinational gas corporation, something is deeply wrong. The system is unfair.

A 25% gas exports tax is one way to right the many wrongs with the system. Tax the rich. Tax the rich. Tax the rich.
