Thanks Pat for donating the beautiful oranges for Buckley Park Community Farm. We have fed the tree with compost tea earlier in the season and we reap these full-flavoured fruits.

Thank you Marinus Link.

It’s gratifying to see local ideas brought to life through our Community Grants Program.

One of the projects we supported this year is a new green house for the Buckley Park Community Farm, a project of the Fish Creek Community Garden.

With winter temperatures soon upon us, the new green house will help protect seedlings and sensitive plants, supporting more consistent growing conditions and helping the garden thrive year‑round.

With Round 2 now closed and assessments underway, we look forward to sharing more community projects soon.

COMPOST MAGIC — FEED THE EARTH, FUEL YOUR FUTURE

International Compost Awareness Week 2026 starts TODAY!

Compost boosts soil health by enhancing its physical, chemical, and biological properties. It raises organic carbon levels both by directly adding carbon and by supporting plant growth. Healthy soils play a key role in climate regulation, storing even more carbon than all the forests around the globe.

Fresh compost tea will be at Prom Country Farmers Market tomorrow. Feed your soil after summer crop. Great timing with the rain.
