Before we move onto the next event (the big one - Show Day), here's a little statistical wrap-up of the 10th Annual Finley Sheep Dog Trials!

🐶 27 triallers
🐶 105 dogs entered
🐶 142 runs across Encourage, Novice, Improver & Open, including finals
🐶 3 dogs scored 90 points or over
🐶 80 laps walked of the Improver & Open course by our judge Ken Robinson
🐶 16 dogs crossed during their run
🐶 1 trialler ran 4 dogs in the Open final
🐶 7,915km (approx) were travelled by triallers to reach Finley - shortest distance was only a couple of kms (from right here in Finley), and 600km the longest distance
🐶 4,253 total points scored

🐶 One last photo dump from the 10th Annual Finley Dog Trials, including a few snaps from the last two days and today.

Although we were a bit down in numbers than usual, it was still a fabulous three days of dog trialling, and we thank everyone who came to compete, judge, volunteer, and spectate - we hope you've all had a wonderful weekend here in Finley!

And we hope everyone will be back again next year for the King's Birthday long weekend!

Congratulations to Tony Pisano, Linda Dening, Paul Darmody, and Will Goggin for topping the Encourage, Novice, Improver and Open finals, respectively, and congratulations to ALL our placegetters and triallers for a wonderful weekend of trialing!

Thank you also to Ken Robinson, Eileen Moriarty, Barry McKenzie, and last-minute extra Dave Lacey for lending their knowledge and expertise as our judges!

And a big thank you to our office team of Denise, Bob and Vicki for keeping the judges and scores in order.

🍝 It's all about good food and good company!

Tonight we celebrated 10 years of our dog trials with our Saturday night dinner! Everyone enjoyed a delicious roast beef dinner and dessert, which was decorated with cute little toppers to celebrate our milestone.

As always, the evening is an opportunity for trialers, committee, volunteers, and even a few of our sponsors, to catch up, connect, and strengthen the friendships we've built over the last ten years.

Shoutout to MADE BY Matheson for the dessert toppers, and the larger toppers we added to our table arrangements, which were a nod to the toppers we had for our very first trials back in 2016!

Now to get a good night's sleep for the final day of events - two rounds of finals and then presentations before lunch!

🐶 Day two snapshot!

The fog may have momentarily made it difficult to see the other end of the ground this morning, but it's been another wonderful day of dog trialling! The Novice final has been run and won, as has our Encourage competition, but you'll have to wait until our announcements tomorrow to find out who the champions are!

Now it's time to enjoy a delicious roast beef dinner with our trialers, workers and sponsors!

Tomorrow we've just got our Improver & Open finals and then presentations and lunch!
