The Pioneer Valley Show is an iconic event in the community, widely regarded by fellow shows, patrons, exhibitors, site holders and entertainers throughout as the best one day show in Queensland. A country-orientated fun, family day, our show consistently attracts crowds of over 16,000 people and transforms the small town of Finch Hatton into a sea of colour and excitement.

What an incredible day we had at this year's show! From the livestock and competitions to the entertainment, exhibits, rides, and plenty of laughs along the way, it was fantastic to see our community come together and enjoy such a wonderful day.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who attended, competed, volunteered, sponsored, exhibited, and helped make the day such a success. Events like this simply wouldn't be possible without the support of our amazing community.

🥇 1st Place – Mackay Home School Community $500
🥈 2nd Place – Walkerston State School $200
🥉 3rd Place – North Eton State School $100
All others schools will receive a $50 prize also for entering!

A huge congratulations to our winners and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who entered. We were absolutely blown away by the creativity, effort, and imagination that went into every scarecrow display!
The competition was a real crowd favourite, with visitors enjoying every unique creation on display throughout the day.

We can't wait to see what amazing ideas everyone comes up with for the 2027 competition. Start planning now – you've got a big standard to live up to!

They scored themselves a ride in the helicopter and also $100 worth of ride tickets !

We all had a great laugh watching our amazing competitors battle it out through each challenge in the Farmer & Wife Challenge. From teamwork and determination to plenty of hilarious moments, everyone gave it their best shot!

I think a few competitors might still have dry Weet-Bix stuck in their teeth! 😅😂

Congratulations to our worthy winners and a huge thank you to all the brave competitors who jumped in and made the challenge such a success. You certainly kept the crowd entertained!
