Great work from local resident Hugh in describing the financial benefits and journey to make a difference at home.
More work to be done by Knox Council to support education. 👍🏻

Is Knox Council watering down Local Law protections for trees??

Removing a declared significant tree or significant vegetation attracted a fine of 10 penalty units for individuals and they're dropping it to 3. 🪓🌳

There's a BIGGER penalty if you put a sign up in the wrong place!

If you value trees in your neighbourhood please provide feedback by Sunday 14 June. 🌳🌳🌳

We are reviewing our Local Law to improve it and provide a safe physical and social environment so residents can enjoy a quality of life that meets their expectations.

A great read on the challenges for improving transport options and the same old arguments that convince politicians to prevent us from moving forward.

Climate change, the cost-of-living crisis and healthy lifestyle goals should make active transport like cycling a no brainer. So why does Australia struggle to build a bike culture?

A great opportunity to ask the Mayor about planned investment now that we're halfway through Knox's Climate Response Plan 2021-2031.

For context, the 2026-27 budgeted cash flow statement for operating payments is $172 million and capital works is $48 million (these exclude borrowing costs and accounting expenses like depreciation etc.)

Be interesting to hear how much extra the fuel bill cost is this year from council's combustion vehicles.

Come and meet Mayor Paige Kennett with any questions about the draft 2026–27 Budget.

These informal sessions in the Civic Centre foyer are an opportunity to ask questions directly and chat about the issues that matter most to you and the Knox community. No booking needed.
