A fantastic opportunity to celebrate the arrival of Knox’s youngest new residents!

Every new baby brings hope and a bright future for our community. Council's new Trees for Tots initiative celebrates families welcoming a newborn by gifting a native seedling that can grow alongside their child 🌱

In the 2025-26 financial year, 1,345 babies were born in Knox. Through Trees for Tots, eligible families with a baby born in 2026-27 will receive a voucher from Knox Environment Society to collect a native tree and plant it at home.

Parents may choose from several natives, including plants suitable for smaller gardens or even pots.

There is no Boronia Library session this month. We'll be back in November. (Saturday 21 November).

Bring along your wobbly chairs, silent radios, torn jackets and blunt knives. Our volunteers will do their best to give them a second chance and keep them out of landfill. Repairs are free. If we get your item going again, a small donation is welcome, but there's never any pressure.

Great to see Knox Council take a stand on behalf of the whole community!

These trees benefit everyone with neighbourhood visual amenity, shade in summer, unconscious calming effects from being near nature, opportunities to see our unique wildlife.

Selfish actions need calling out - this tree had the potential to outlive every single person currently in Knox, and would have continued providing benefits into the next century for future generations.

If a tree in your neighbourhood bothers you so much that you're willing to take away the benefit it provides to so many others in the community, maybe it's time to revaluate where you live and find a suburb that actually makes you happy. Don't ruin it for others.

The recent Local Law issue demonstrated how quick Knox residents will show they care about trees in their neighbourhood. It's time to start seeing Knox's strategies, plans, policies & budgets enhanced to meet the needs of current and future residents.

WORKING BEE - This Saturday 26th September 2026. Come join us between 10am and 12 to help us make FROGY look amazing. Just a few more plants to go in (may have said something similar last month ☺️) and weeding. Bring you gardening gloves and water bottle. Tools provided.

❓ Did you know the original Climate Response Plan had actions roughly estimated to cost just $32.5m over 10 years.
💰 Compared to Knox Council’s total expenditure over the 10 years which is projected to be over $2 BILLION!
👎 The revised plan has no financial estimates and is missing key commitments.

Councillors, commit & get the job done.
