Today is Wear it Purple Day, bringing people across Australia together to support LGBTQIA+SB young people and help create safer, more inclusive spaces 💜🌈

This year's theme, 'Colours of Courage', celebrates the many different forms of courage shown by LGBTQIA+SB young people, allies and communities every day. Courage can mean speaking up and standing out, but it can also be quieter - living authentically, asking for support, standing beside someone or choosing pride and hope when being yourself doesn't always feel easy.

Scouts Victoria is proud to stand with LGBTQIA+SB young people and celebrate the diversity of our members.

Last night, after a postponement of our visit to the Mt Burnett Observatory, we instead did some space themed activities including estimating how far the moon is from the Earth, comparing sizes of the Sun versus the inner solar system planets and making our own star constellation projectors and finding South from the Southern Cross.
