📣 Our P&C is urgently seeking a Secretary.

Without this role being filled, the P&C cannot continue to operate and may be forced to dissolve, which would impact services such as the tuckshop and uniform shop.

The role is a volunteer commitment (approx. 2 hours per week) and no experience is required. A supported orientation will be provided.

If you’re able to help support our school community, please consider self-nominating before Tuesday, 12 May.

📢 Farnborough State School P&C AGM – Tuesday, 10th March at 6:30 PM in the Library

Our P&C Annual General Meeting (AGM) is just around the corner, and all executive positions will be open for nomination! This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved, support our school, and help shape the year ahead. Our hard working team would love some more parents to get involved.

This year we’re seeking someone to take on Social Media communication and general promotion for the P&C. If you could see yourself being active in this space please let us know. Similarly, if grant writing or fundraising is up your alley, please come and support us with those skills.

✨ New to the P&C? No problem! Each role is supported by the team and previous members to help you settle in. Fresh ideas and energy are always welcome, and being part of the P&C is a rewarding way to make a difference in our school community.

We’d love to see new and familiar faces at the AGM. Whether you’re nominating for a role or just want to hear more about what we do, please join us! 🗓

To round out a busy week and an even bigger year at Farnborough, it was a lovely surprise to receive the photos from Kelly at KO Photography. Kelly captured our families so beautifully at our end of year Bush Dance celebration (check out the Bush Dance 2025 Album). We are incredibly grateful to Kelly for donating her time and talent to capture these memories for us.
Thank you again to the families who joined us to celebrate our community on Monday night.
That's us done for 2025, we wish all our families a safe, restful and joy-filled holiday. We can't wait to do it all again in 2026!

📣 Bush Dance – Monday 8 December!

Just a reminder that our End of Year Celebration Bush Dance is happening on Monday night, 8th of December!

This special event is our way to wrap up the 2025 school year and celebrate all that we’ve achieved together as a community.

We’re excited to welcome the The Billy Tea Bush Band back to Farnborough for an evening of lively music, dancing and fun.

🍽️ Food trucks will be serving from 4:30pm in the garden, so families are encouraged to come early, grab dinner and settle in before the dancing kicks off at 6:00pm.

Our visiting vendors are:
• Pizza On The Run
• Lip Smacking Tucker Truck
• Spuds 2 Go

📸 We are also grateful to have KO Photography joining us to capture the magic of the night.

Dress in your best country style! Boots, hats, checks and denim are all encouraged to help set the bush dance spirit.

We warmly welcome all students, families and staff to come along and enjoy this wonderful end-of-year celebration. Can’t wait to see you there!

🎶 Bush Dance Reminder – Next Monday! 🎶

Farnborough families, this is a reminder that our End-of-Year Bush Dance Celebration is happening next Monday, 8th December!

We’ll have three food trucks on-site with service starting from 4:30pm.
We encourage families to come along early, grab some dinner, and enjoy a relaxed picnic before the dancing kicks off.
