🌈 Come find Magic Carpet at Kaleidoscopic Minds! 🎨

We’re heading to Kaleidoscopic Minds at Exeter Phoenix — and we’d love you to come along!

Join James from Magic Carpet from 11am–2pm for a hands-on printmaking workshop, where you can create your own autumnal relief prints using a traditional press and natural materials including 🍂 leaves, acorns and berries.

It’s suitable for all ages and is just one of the many creative, welcoming and neurodiversity-focused activities taking place throughout the day.

✨ Impact in Action: Meet Alisha ✨

Alisha joined our Snapdragon group earlier this year and has become a much-loved part of the Magic Carpet community. With British Sign Language (BSL) as her first language, she attends with her support worker, and over the past six months we've loved getting to know her.

It's been wonderful to see Alisha's confidence grow. Today, she's an active member of the group, happily volunteering to help during sessions, building friendships, and sharing her brilliant smile and sense of humour with everyone around her.

At our recent Magic Carpet & Pelican Tea Party, Alisha was right at the heart of the celebrations—dancing, making new friends and embracing every moment. Seeing her enjoy herself and feel so connected was a joy for everyone who was there. 💙

💙 Thank You, The Clare Milne Trust 💙

In 1999, Clare Milne and her mother, Lesley Milne, established The Clare Milne Trust using funds from the estate of Clare's grandfather, A.A. Milne, the beloved author and creator of Winnie-the-Pooh. Since then, the Trust has supported charities that improve the lives of disabled people and those facing additional challenges.

We are incredibly grateful to The Clare Milne Trust for their continued support of our Magic Carpet Project.

Their most recent grant of £15,000 will help us continue providing inclusive creative wellbeing sessions where people can express themselves, build confidence, develop friendships and feel a genuine sense of belonging. This latest funding builds on the Trust's ongoing support of Magic Carpet over the years, helping us ensure that our groups remain welcoming, accessible and life-changing for the people who attend.

Every week, we see the difference these sessions make—from growing confidence and creativity to reduced isolation and stronger community connections. None of this would be possible without the generosity of funders like The Clare Milne Trust.

Our Exmouth Drama group are taking to the stage again at Exmouth Festival wither their show 'Here Comes Summer'.

Here Comes Summer is a light-hearted celebration of why we love summer. Written and performed by Exmouth Extraordinary Theatre Company, a talented group of adults with learning disabilities who share a passion for drama.

Yesterday, Tuesday club got to see their artwork up in the Exeter Phoenix Walkway Gallery for the first time.

They enjoyed spotting which bits were theirs and admiring how it's all come together to create something special.
