Would you like to be added to our local business contact list.

The Exeter and District Improvement Committee (EDIC) are working to benefit local businesses and would like to keep you informed about our activities, in addition you can let us know about your issues and priorities too.

For many years our small committee has been made up of local business operators and community members situated in Exeter to share ideas and visions for improvements to our local community.

The present committee has recently reformed as the Exeter and District Improvement Committee (EDIC) and brings together Council representatives, and community members and local businesses from the Exeter, Lanena and Gravelly Beach communities to discuss constructive ideas and strategies for improvement in the livability of our area.

Your business is an important component of our community. We are working to benefit local business growth, needs and sustainability.

Exeter Community Forum 18th October 2022 – 6 p.m. Onwards

The Exeter and District Improvement Committee is pleased to announce a community forum will be held at the Exeter Community Hub, residents from our Gravelly Beach, Lanena and Exeter communities are most welcome to attend.

Two Councillor’s and two staff members from the West Tamar Council will join us and provide updates on Councils programs that are supporting the advancement of our district.

In addition, we’re making 3 to 5 minutes available for local community groups to speak about their activities and future plans. PM us if you are interested in presenting at the forum.

We’re looking for open discussion amongst those present on what could improve the district.

We are looking for written contributions on the night via a participant survey asking for ideas we can use for future reference.

So come along and voice your positive ideas.

Your District Improvement Committee is ready to encourage the West Tamar Council, and State Government Departments to understand and embrace your worthy contribution.

For many years a small committee made up of local business operators and community members has functioned in Exeter to share ideas and visions for improvements to our local community.

This committee has been active in encouraging local input to Council and others on matters including road safety, community wellbeing, access and connectivity.

The committee provided direct input to safety upgrades to West Tamar Highway at Lanena, promoted and enabled the upgrade of the Goat Track walking route between Exeter and Gravelly Beach amongst other projects.

The present committee has recently reformed as the Exeter and District Improvement Committee (EDIC), hoping to bring together council representatives, and community members from the Exeter and Gravelly Beach communities to discuss constructively ideas and strategies for improvement in the liveability of our area.

We are seeking additional members to join the group, and also input from interested locals on local issues or priorities. The Committee works quietly, building links to Council, local community leaders and others to broker change or improvement.

Our page is newly created, and we will be adding interesting content and plenty of options to engage with the Exeter and District Improvement Committee. More to come ....
