The GoodSAM app is a volunteer phone app where you can help save a life.
More than 9,000 people experience an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in NSW every year.
For every minute a person in cardiac arrest and doesn’t receive chest compressions (CPR), their chances of survival fall by 7 to 10%.

GoodSAM alerts registered volunteers to help save a life when someone nearby goes into cardiac arrest.

No training is needed, just a willingness to help.
This app has the potential to really make an impact especially in regional areas.

Meet with Katie from NSW Ambulance to hear how GoodSAM can work with you and representatives from neighbouring towns.

Katie will be Fat Parcel Food Van Wednesday at 10am to talk about this wonderful initiative.

A very worthy recipient, recognised for her school, sporting and community achievements.

Youth of the Month | August 2026

Congratulations to Elsie Noble from Eugowra, who has been named Cabonne Council's Youth of the Month for August 2026.

Nominated by her school principal Carmel Doyle Eugowra Public School - NSW DEC Elsie is recognised for her dedication both in and out of the classroom. A talented athlete, she has represented her school in swimming, athletics and cross country, qualifying for the NSW PSSA State Championships in swimming and competing at Western Region level in cross country.

Beyond her sporting achievements, Elsie is an active member of the community through the Eugowra Junior Sports Group and is always proud to represent her school and town.

Elsie's determination, hard work and positive attitude make her a wonderful role model for other young people.
