Well finally back in SA last stop in Renmark before home tomorrow. Just on 8000km covered and Kia hadn’t missed a beat only issue was a/c stopped working day 5 but then decided to start working again around Hay on way home. Blew a 30amp fuse for fridge (easy fix). Put 300ml oil in at Mildura on way home.
For a $600 car it has been incredible.
Now to decide if we do it again.

Well that’s a rap sh*tbox rally winter 2026.
Grant and I wish everyone who supported us to do this you are all champions and I hope the money we raised will help someone with cancer.
We raised $12535 and this years total was $2, 438,031 which is incredible.
The $600 Kia Carnival didn’t let us down we were the only vehicle in our buddy group to have no issues. No flat tyres (thanks SSkids tyres and mechanical).
Now for the after party tomorrow. Have met a great bunch of people and had a fantastic time.

Day 5 done and dusted(literally) very long day one of the last groups out today . The Wolseley had engine troubles and had to be loaded onto car trailer, Ash and Craig jumped into our car. As I’m typing this they have fixed the issue. Also had trouble with the Gizzets car but got that one fixed on side of road. Carnival still going strong but received a good chip in front window from road train. Didn’t make Karumba for sun set we’re still 100km out. On wards tomorrow for day 6.

Well another long day, we’re looking good to get into McKinley early to have a few beers at The Walkabout hotel but 2 of the vehicles in our buddy group had some troubles with one coming back on support trailer. Kia still going strong other than a low beam globe blowing.
The Geezers car is still being worked on starter motor issue it’s now 10.48pm. Both of us are hitting the sack so hopefully it will be fixed in morning.

Morning from Longreach. Can report all our buddy group cars are up and running again. Late night tho last car fixed around 12.30am. Head to McKinlay today don’t know how much dirt but going to be a cracker of a day. And they had lambs fry for breakfast.

Day 3 we have made Longreach of course the Indian BP ran out half way tilling up of 91 fuel so had to finish filling up ...

Good day sh*tbox still going strong some of the other buddy group have had some issues but all still mobile.
