This week Jenny Tolhurst shared how the Operation Christmas Child volunteers in Esperance continue to shine; from knitting and sewing to packing boxes, including a remarkable 93‑year‑old volunteer showing us all that age is no barrier to volunteering!
Australia & NZ sent 212,401 shoeboxes last year, helping children in places facing extreme poverty with school supplies, hygiene items, clothing and toys.
Right now they are in need of small soft toys 🧸, if you can help, reach out and we can put you in touch with Jenny🤗

We welcomed six new members last night who have come to us following the closure of the Rotary Club of Esperance Bay Inc. The Bay Club's immediate past president Ian McCallum also spoke, sharing the history of Prickle Farm, the club's primary source of funds, and its importance to their club. President Murray welcomed lan, along with David and Jen Ford, Charlotte Davidson, Chad Holten and Chris Jose. We look forward to many years of fellowship and service with our newest members! Thank you for continuing your Rotary journey with us 👏🫶

Tonight our members enjoyed a very informative talk from Mel Haymont of the Department of Fire and Emergency Services WA on the dangers of lithium batteries 🔋 we learned best practice for charging and storing, and what to to in the case of an emergency ‼️ Thank you Mel for your insights!
