Esperance U12 Hotshots 🔥Regional Skills Session

For athletes ⛹️‍♂️⛹️‍♀️born 2013 & 2014.
💲Cost: 30 per athlete.
🗓️Dates & Session times:
25/8/24 10am-12pm
1/9/24 10am-12pm
📍Location: Graham Mackenzie Stadium, Esperance.

4 male and 4 female athletes who attend this program will be selected and invited to attend the BWA Hotshots Jamboree in Perth, October 1 & 2 2024.

Basketball WA’s U12 Hotshots program is the largest and most inclusive development program for junior basketball in Western Australia and is the first introduction into the Basketball WA High Performance Pathway.

The goal is to bring athletes in the Under 12 age (Born 2013 & 2014) for Regional and Metro from all around the state together, for fun, learning and competition, with content focused around the Fab 5 (Passing, Shooting, Dribbling, Footwork & One on One Defence).

Hotshots Skill Sessions

The road to the Jamboree starts with our Hotshots Regional Skill Sessions. Hotshots Skills Sessions for any U12’s athlete, will be held in regional areas across the state. Sessions will teach centralised content that each region is covering around the state and will be conducted by a BWA endorsed head coach, with the assistance of local association coaches.

Hotshots Jamboree

From each skill session, from each region, selected athletes will be invited to attend the Hotshots Jamboree. The Jamboree encourages competition from athletes around the state and allows athletes to experience a competitive environment whilst learning the fundamentals of the game of basketball in a fun and encouraging space.

The Jamboree camp will expand on the content explored in the Hotshot Skill Sessions. Athletes will be placed in a team and assigned a camp coach for the weekend, they will play multiple games across the weekend, and be encouraged to put their newfound skills in to action.
