Our recent Respite Through Recreation (RTR) group had a fantastic time heading to the movies to see Toy Story 5! With popcorn in hand and plenty of laughs along the way, it was a wonderful day spent enjoying great company and a classic story brought back to the big screen.

🎬 Fun fact: The original Toy Story, released in 1995, was the world's first fully computer-animated feature film. More than 30 years later, Woody, Buzz and the whole gang are still bringing smiles to audiences of all ages.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for another great RTR outing. We can't wait to see where our next adventure takes us... to infinity and beyond! 🚀✨

There’s something special about coming together as a community, and last week the GIFSA team was honoured to take part in the NAIDOC Week March in Kalgoorlie alongside so many others from across the Goldfields.

This year's theme, "50 Years of Deadly," celebrates an incredible milestone - 50 years of recognising and celebrating the strength, resilience, leadership and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It honours the Elders, communities, organisers and trailblazers who have shaped the NAIDOC movement and continue to inspire future generations.

At GIFSA, we believe strong communities are built on respect, inclusion and genuine connection. We are proud to stand alongside our local community in celebrating First Nations cultures, listening, learning and acknowledging the invaluable contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples - not just during NAIDOC Week, but every day.

Thank you to everyone who made the march such a meaningful celebration of culture, community and connection. 💛🖤❤️

This Pride Month, we're celebrating individuality, inclusion and the right to be yourself. 🌈

Person-centred support is so important to us that it sits at the heart of one of our core values: Your goals. Your voice. Your plan.

For us, that means recognising and valuing each person's unique identity, goals and choices, and supporting people to live the life they want.

We're grateful to be part of a community where everyone is encouraged to be themselves and feel a sense of belonging.

On the road again... connecting our Kalgoorlie and Esperance offices and spreading some team love along the way. 🧡
Out here, the distance is real. And for many people with disability in regional WA, finding reliable, consistent support can feel impossible.
That's why we show up, every day, across the Goldfields-Esperance region - because where you live should never determine the quality of support you receive.
If you're looking for a disability provider in the Goldfields-Esperance region and struggling to find someone, message us or give us a shout 👋

Independence looks different for everyone 💛

For some people, it might be preparing meals, shopping for groceries, building everyday routines, or developing confidence with daily tasks.

Our Daily Living Assistance is about supporting participants to work towards their own goals, build independence in ways that are meaningful to them, and do more of what matters in their everyday lives.

To learn more about our Daily Living Assistance supports, send us a message or get in touch with our team.

Choosing the right disability support provider is an important decision 💛

NDIS registered providers mustmeet quality and safety standards designed to help participants and families feel supported, informed and confident in their services.

We believe support is about more than systems - it’s about building genuine relationships, understanding each person’s goals, and creating supports that feel welcoming, respectful and personalised.
