The Esk Show Society is responsible for the organisation and staging of the annual Show, Show Ball and other community based events. ks a young lady to represent QLD Shows and her local community. Her role over a 12 month period is to encourage and promote the Show Movement to the Queensland Youth. The QLD Country Life Showgirl is selected for her knowledge, her presentation and her passion for the show movement and her community. The Rural Ambassador Award
The aim of the "MARSH Rural Ambassador Award" is to highlight the importance of young people in rural and regional Queensland, in particular those associated with the Agricultural Show movement. The award identifies those people actively involved in their local Show, who have a sound knowledge of current rural issues affecting their local areas, Queensland and Australia and and have a strong affiliation with agriculture. The award seeks young people who symbolise the rural spirit - people with vitality who are forward thinking and with a passion for the land and local agricultural shows
Both Awards are governed by the Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies.
