Brisbane Water Breakfast Toastmasters Club celebrated its 18th birthday today in fine style with not only an even more fun than usual meeting, but also with a delicious morning tea of tasty ham, cheese and tomato “toasties” and a chocolate birthday cake to die for!!
The agenda was completely different to
compliment the occasion and everyone joined in with enthusiasm to make sure our birthday meeting was a memorable one.

One of the best meetings I’ve attended this morning with so many members doing such a brilliant job of assignments they were doing for the first time.

Just enjoyed another great meeting which included two new members Anne and Mark ( congratulations to you both) and David as a guest. The meeting included three great Prepared Speeches from Nathan ( his Icebreaker) Janette and Kirsty, and an interesting Table Topics segment which had lots of humour.

This coming Saturday August 31 at 08:30am BWBTC will be holding its Humorous Speech Contest, in the first half of the meeting, and we have three contestants. The meeting will be an exciting one as always, with the added attraction of three humorous stories for us all to enjoy.
The second half of the meeting will predominantly be taken up with Table Topics which Is sure to provide the same degree of antiscipation, excitement and humour that it always does!
We shall also be inducting three new members to the club in the first half of the meeting; Kate, Jeremy and Nathan, who now swell our numbers to a very healthy 19. See you all bright and early on Saturday.

Yet another terrific meeting on August 10, with a packed agenda filled by everyone attending the meeting.
The meeting got off to a great start with a Funny Bone from Kate; a Toast from Chenna, and a Rant from Marjorie.
A full compliment of excellent Prepared Speeches from Brendan, Ally and David, were followed by well prepared, and interesting Table Topics questions from Table Topics Master Janette.
The Show & Tell segment was very diverse with three items that were fascinating, interesting, and humorous from Jeremy, Nathan and Carolyn. Evaluations from Agnes, Sean, and Mike were well prepared and instructive.
One of the most pleasing aspects of the meeting was that all four new members took part and contributed so very well. another pleasing aspect is to see how well other members are progressing and becoming more and more confident standing up and speaking in front of an audience.

Another great meeting on June 29 at meeting room 3, Erina Centre with three diverse prepared speeches from Kirsty, Mike,and Ally, as part of another packed agenda. Our two guests Kate and Nathan took part in a meeting they both enjoyed as did everyone in attendance. Our next meeting on July 13 will be a Christmas in July theme which should be a lot of fun.
