The magic that is the divine Miss Matilda …….. she calmly and quietly walks into every class room, randomly walks around and then chooses to sit beside one particular student or climb into their lap and it’s usually the student who needs her particular brand of therapy the most. She’s a very sweet, gentle natured, intuitive, loving little girl🩷

As part of our regular High School visits we spend time with the dogs in the assisted learning unit and Year 7 students. Buddy starts off like a bull in a china shop, that’s his age. As he settles, switches his listening ears on and puts his brain in gear he starts to engage with the students. Today, for the first time, we took his lead off so he could roam the class room under supervision. Buddy’s super power is the way he connects with people. Today he helped two students who find it hard to use language to express themselves. One student put sentences together by repeating all the dogs’ names to us and the other one spent the entire class either talking to Buddy when he was lying beside her or calling him so he would come back to her. Her favorite sentence “Buddy is my friend”. Well done Buddy Boy👏

Beau’s bagged his spot on the couch for the evening ……. his leg seems a little better but we’re only 5 days in to a 2 week plan so I’m being cautiously optimistic. He’s his usual happy self and his appetite is good but that’s Beau, he lives his life being happy and it’s infectious, makes me smile just looking at him♥️

Buddy trying to get the better of Matilda …….. he still hasn’t worked out that she will never allow that to happen, bigger ratbags than him have tried and none of them have succeeded. She’s very quick on her feet and super determined regardless of her size😂
