Epping Scout Group, NSW

Epping Scout Group, NSW Epping Scout Group is located in the leafy Northern suburbs of Sydney. Epping Scouts is a vibrant Scouting group in Northern Sydney, NSW, Australia.

The group is one of the oldest in Australia. All 5 scouting sections are represented – starting at age 6 with Joeys and running through Cubs, Scouts, Venturers and finally the young adult group Rovers. Scouts participate in a wide range of exciting activities - including camps, hiking and even water sports at our own boat shed, and we all have great fun. We are very much a part of the local commun

ity. Joeys is for boys and girls aged between 6 and 8 years, they meet Monday afternoons at the North Epping Hall from 5:30 to 6:30pm. Cubs is for boys and girls between 8 and 11 years old, they meet Monday evenings at the North Epping hall from 7:00 until 8:30pm. Scouts is for boys and girls aged between 11 and 15, they meet at the Essex St hall on Wednesday evenings, 7:00 till 9:00pm. Venturers is for 15 to 18 year olds, they meet Thursday evenings at the Essex St Hall from 7:30 until 9:30pm. Rovers meet every Tuesday night and some weekends.

Bruce the Shark here! My adventures in Queenstown on New Zealand Venture - Australian Contingent Post Tour included white water rafting where I felt right at home, a buggy tour through the mountains where I'm lucky my head is soft because they didn't have an shark-sized helmets, hiking the steep Ben Lomond Track, a steam boat trip on the lake, and racing down the luge tracks!

Its been full on and an awesome time and I am so thankful for coming on this trip and all the friends I have made along the way. Now back home to rest up before the next adventure!

A massive thank you to everyone involved and who I have met for being AWESOME!

Bruce the Shark here again! As promised here are some of my adventures at Weta Workshop for a tour and leatherworking class where I even ended up on a tag! It was super cool and definitely a must do for anyone visiting the area.

Thanks to my amazing tour guide and instructors for letting me join in on the fun.

Bruce the Shark here again! I had a ball at phase 2 of Venture'26 where I made so many new friends, learnt all about space, went on an all electric ferry, saw loads of birds including a rare Takahe, and celebrated the end of the main event at the paint party where I got very colourful!

My next post will be from my explorations of Weta Workshop then I'm off to explore Queenstown.

Bruce the Shark checking in here! I've made my way to Scouts Aotearoa for Venture'26 with New Zealand Venture - Australian Contingent where I've so far been on two different expeditions before I head to the core camp today.
